In Accra, preventive dental care is often postponed until pain forces a visit. Partnering with local congregations brings screenings and education to where people already gather—closing the gap between intention and action. That’s core to Beaver Foundation’s mission: practical, preventive care that meets people where they are.
Perez Chapel opened its doors to the wider Dzorwulu community for a focused dental outreach. Our clinicians ran chair‑side screenings and general cleanings, issued personalised reports, and made referrals where needed. Between consults, we held short, interactive education sessions on brushing, flossing, and how oral health affects overall wellness. Every attendee left with a dental kit—yes, a fresh brush, floss, and a simple take‑home guide—to turn good intentions into daily habits.
By early afternoon, 35 people had been seen, with 28 receiving a full mouth cleaning (including one very brave child). A handful needed urgent follow‑up; appointments were scheduled on the spot to make sure care continued beyond Sunday.
