Ghana’s National Oral Health Policy highlights that gum disease and cavities remain among the top causes of workplace absenteeism. Regular preventive care is still low, with many employees waiting until pain forces a clinic visit. That’s where Beaver Foundation steps in: bringing professional, insured dental care directly to workplaces like Sanlam Allianz Life.
On Wednesday, 2nd April 2025, Beaver Foundation set up a fully equipped dental station inside the Sanlam Allianz Life premises. Employees received:
• Oral hygiene education
• Professional consultations and screenings
• Teeth cleaning (scale and polish)
• Composite fillings where needed
The setup was described as “very unique and one of a kind” by Mr. Andrew Yarquah, one of the participants.
For many, convenience was key—dental care delivered without leaving the office. For others, it was a first-time experience that changed how they viewed oral health. One employee, Mrs. Akosua Atwimaa, even remarked: “Since your facility accepts insurance, I will come with my kids.”

15 employees (insured by Metropolitan Health) received treatment
9 males & 6 females underwent screening and cleaning
2 composite fillings done on-site
0 referrals needed—no severe cases found
Beaver Foundation will continue engaging Sanlam Allianz Life with follow-up oral health reminders and encourage employees to extend preventive care to their families. The success of this program reinforces the importance of corporate–healthcare partnerships in keeping Ghana’s workforce healthy and productive.
